Virtual Reality in Hospitality
Hotels can incorporate VR in many ways in their customer service initiatives. Often, the first place a visitor encounters a hotel is online. Adding a VR tour to hotel rooms and hotel facilities allows the visitor to get a feel for what kind of room they would like to book, and see the value for money before making the booking.
The Marriott Hotel in the UK also includes VR in their room service as an entertainment option. They created tours of tourist attractions around the area, and allowed their visitors to explore their surroundings from the comfort of their rooms. This encouraged many visitors to explore places they would not have before experiencing them in VR.
